Mock Draft 2.0

Tried to consider keeps with this so if someone is obviously missing, that's why...Here we go!

1.01 SchoolGirls - Peterson
1.02 DNice - Chris Johnson
1.03 Brain - Ray Rice
1.04 Juice - Andre Johnson
1.05 Legend - Larry Fitzgerald
1.06 Flava - Reggie Wayne
1.07 PE - Steven Jackson
1.08 Ninja - Randy Moss
1.09 UCB - Calvin Johnson
1.10 D&D - Greg Jennings

1st round analysis:

The top 4 slots are no-brainers. Thrown 'em in a hat and pick... But it's the middle round that gets interesting. Is it too early to go needs based when thinking about keepers? Or do you grab the guy with the least amount of question marks? How about the sole remaining fulltime back? And don't forget about upside picks to win like Calvin, DeSean, Jennings, or Boldin? In the end, history has taught us that at least 4 of the guys above will bust...Don't let it be you!

2.01 D&D - Boldin
2.02 UCB - DJax
2.03 Ninja - VJax
2.04 PE - Manning
2.05 Flava - DeAngelo Williams
2.06 Legend - Ryan Matthews
2.07 Juice - Antonio Gates
2.08 Brain - Hines Ward
2.09 DNice - LeSean McCoy
2.10 SchoolGirls - Beanie Wells

2nd round analysis:

A little more needs based perhaps, but the suspicion is it's more best player available still. Notable decisions begins with Ninja taking VJax given the suspension (his team will be known by then but I suspect it's still in SD considering AJ Smith is a stubborn ass - if not, does a Charlie Whitehurst led passing attack help his numbers given their time together in SD? Bet you didn't make that connection D&D!). Legend trying to beat Juice to the "reach" punch isn't newsworthy but Gates going right after the rook is! Passing up on Hines to grab a hungry TE screams uncertainty 17 picks in and subtly suggests that DNice knows this too - think about it!

3.01 SchoolGirls - Tom Brady
3.02 DNice - Matt Schaub
3.03 Brain - Welker
3.04 Juice - Forte
3.05 Legend - Moreno
3.06 Flava - OchoCinco
3.07 PE - Hakeem Nicks
3.08 Ninja - Steve Smith (Car)
3.09 UCB - Jahvid Best
3.10 D&D - Percy Harvin

3rd round analysis:

Those in the know go QB quick because you can't win without a stud in this league. After that, this round probably is the place where picks get the most scrutiny from owners. Every player has his quirks - OchoCinco with his attitude, Smith with a broken arm and a rancid QB situation, Moreno and McDaniels, Welker likely "active" but only so he can play 50 snaps 4 weeks into the season and not miss time on the PUP, Percy and his 60% snaps, an underachieving Forte with fat wallet Chester coming in along with the mad scientist calling the plays, and the upside rookie rb on a team lacking identify and a history of "no-kicker" backfield.
