Injuries = Ripple Effect

I can't help myself when I hear DeSean and Percy were carted off today. Not to mention hearing Jerry Jones put a 4-6 week timetable on Dez! Sidney and Wes are on the PUP. AJ Smith said he's done dealing with VJax. Does it get any better? It's only July 31st and the decisions are getting tougher! Don't be that guy...

SchoolGirls - Keepers: Romo, Roddy, Witten, and Turner
1.01 Chris Johnson

DNice - Keepers: Michael Bush, Crabtree, Smith (NYG), and Keller
1.02 Peterson

Brain - Keepers: Benson, Cutler, McCoy, and Vernon Davis
1.03 Andre Johnson

100% Juice - Keepers: Rodgers, Gore, Aromashodu, and Wallace
1.04 Ray Rice

The Legend - Keepers: Bowe, Matt Ryan, Mendenhall, and Garcon
1.05 Larry Fitzgerald

Flava - Keepers: Flacco, Maclin (NEW), Greene, and Sims-Walker
1.06 Calvin Johnson

PE - Keepers: Clark, Chambers, Slaton...yikes!
1.07 Randy Moss

Ninja Mafia -Keepers: Colston, MJD, Kolb, and Pierre (can't keep Rivers with these options and uncertainty in SD)
1.08 Reggie Wayne

UCB - Keepers: Sidney Rice, Miles Austin, Jamaal Charles, and Hakeem Nicks (NEW)
1.09 Steven Jackson

Dumb and Dangerous - Keepers: Celek, Brees, Marshall, and Grant
1.10 Greg Jennings

Analysis from Round One -
In a word - predictable. Nothing too surprising here to be honest...remember the days when Juice and UCB went Holt and Steve Smith went #3 and #4? You do don't you? Remember the shock you felt when that happened? We do. And it was so enjoyable knowing the board was going to funnel towards exactly what we wanted in the round two! This year, though, good luck having the guts to pull a fast one. You're not good enough.

Toughest pick of the Round: Juice. Do you ride Ray Ray again or go WR knowing you're coming in with a weak corp to begin with? I don't want to generalize here but everytime you seem to get on the clock it feels like the toughest pick. Tick. Tick. Tick...

Round Two:

2.01 D&D - Ryan Mathews
2.02 UCB - Peyton Manning
2.03 Ninja - Anquan Boldin
2.04 PE - Tom Brady
2.05 Flava - DeSean Jackson
2.06 Legend - Jonathan Stewart
2.07 Juice - Antonio Gates
2.08 Brain - LeSean McCoy (KEEPER)
2.09 DNice - DeAngelo Williams
2.10 SchoolGirls - Ochocinco

Analysis of Round Two -
Here's where things get predictably difficult! Simply put - lot's of reacting in this round. From D&D in a perceived reach at 11 despite his ranking being right there with DeAngelo. Or how about PE having to go Brady knowing full well that there isn't a chance Brady would last past DNice. Juice's selection of Gates falls in line with the "best player available" mantra all while expecting to find football's version of Joey Votto later!

Toughest Pick of the round: UCB's because do you grab a wr too high, go with a rock solid and safe qb, or roll the dice on an rb who isn't a bellcow. Decisions decisions...

Round Three:

3.01 SchoolGirls - Steve Smith (Car)
3.02 DNice - Matt Schaub
3.03 Brain - Hines Ward
3.04 Juice - Vincent Jackson
3.05 Legend - Knowshon Moreno
3.06 Flava - Beanie Wells
3.07 PE - Santana Moss
3.08 Ninja Mafia - Tony Gonzalez
3.09 UCB - Jahvid Best
3.10 D&D - Joseph Addai

Analysis of Round Three -
Should be named the mixed bag round because this is what we'll get 21 picks in! Someone always falls who shouldn't. Someone always falls who should. And nobody goes defense. These three things are locks.

Toughest pick of the Round: Oddly, SchoolGirls knows this one has to count! Especially after grabbing Ochocinco because he had too. Need we remind you that it's 2010, Drury...Steve Smith isn't even called "Steve Smith" anymore. It needs to be qualified, right DNice?

Round Four:

4.01 D&D - Wes Welker
4.02 UCB - Jermichael Finley
4.03 Ninja Mafia - Felix Jones
4.04 PE - Ronnie Brown
4.05 Flava - Matt Forte
4.06 Legend - Dez Bryant
4.07 Juice - Jon Beason
4.08 Brain - Julius Peppers
4.09 DNice - Johnny Knox
4.10 SchoolGirls - Michael Turner (KEEPER)

Analysis for Round Four -
Here come the IDPs in 2010! You laugh but you try pulling the trigger on RB25 or WR27 when you could get DL2 or LB2... Other than that, Dez Bryant should be fun to watch this night because his high ankle sprain certainly put a "twist" on his slot.
Toughest pick of the Round: Besides Drury deciding to keep Turner, the Wes Welker pick qualifies as the "Chuck Amato Big Balls" pick of the night! So anyone who must make a call on placing his sticker wins the toughest pick of the night award. In this mock - congrats goes to Conley.

Couple things here to comment on:

1. Brain will never select Andre Johnson. And we all know he does not look at his team/keepers and draft accordingly. He goes Ray Ray and Juice acts like he didn't want him but is secretly CRUSHED.

2. But Juice "settles" for Johnson and it ends up being the better pick anyway.

3. PE LOVES Reggie Wayne's consistency and takes him, leaving Ninja CRUSHED, but he won't keep it a secret. And this is where the draft begins. Ninja loses his poise, shops Rivers/Kolb, and takes Tom Brady, giving in to his usual problem of the emotional pick - taking a guy who gave you a good year some time ago.

4. One last thing, your Round 3 pick is off for Ninja. He keeps Heath Miller instead of Pierre Thomas and has no need for Tony Gonzalez. He has tickets to two Bears games this year so he strikes a pose with Johnny Knox, who shines in Martz's offense and hits double-digit TDs and single-handedly wins Ninja week 7.
