T-minus 8 days!

Before we get to the new mock, obviously we have some action to analyze! Great to see the Juice/Brain reunion continues for the 2010 season (maybe at this point we should note when they're separating and not when they're working together). But actually this trade mirrors the original blockbuster between 5 o'clock Shadow and Brain from 2007 when Brain had the 2nd and 5th picks (SJax and Alexander). At the time, and in fact still today, the first round is riddled with busts 40% each season, so the real risk is dipping your toe in twice within the first 10 picks. In 2007 both busted for Brain despite SJax coming off two injury free seasons and catching 90 balls in 06, yet Alexander was coming off a 7 TD season where he saw time in 10 games...can't really explain that one! So for Juice the obvious picks are Ray Rice and Andre Johnson. Is it just me, or does SJax and Ray Rice feel a little similar given the history except SJax didn't lose goal-line? So, although the notion of Juice rolling out of the first round with 2 bonafide studs on draft night may be unnerving, don't get caught up in it since history strongly suggests not all top-10 picks are created equal...I like the trade for both IF each makes the right selections.
